Fraudulent Checks are on the rise. Within the last several months our customers have received fraudulent checks through the mail and internet solicitations.

Protect Yourself From Fraud!

Listed below are some of the actual scenarios accompanying the fraudulent checks:

1. Checks received through the mail, with a letter indicating they had won a contest or lottery.

2. Checks received stating they had inherited money from a distant relative.

3. Checks received with a letter requesting them to send back money to cover taxes and/or expenses.

4. Checks received stating it was proceeds from something that was sold over the internet.

Ask yourself this question:
Do you know who the check is from and were you expecting it?
If it seems too good to be true, it usually is.
